The Armenian Church at Hye Pointe is the merger of Holy Cross Armenian Apostolic Church of Lawrence, MA and St. Gregory the Illuminator Apostolic Church of Haverhill, MA. Holy Cross and St. Gregory merged in 2002 to create the first merged Armenian Apostolic Church in North America
During the past five years, we have alternated holding services between St. Gregory the illuminator and Holy Cross. The Hye Pointe Community is in the process of raising money for a new church on our property located at 1280 Boston Road in Bradford, MA (Rt. 125).
We hold our annual picnic in August which draws over 500 attendees for cities in towns in the Merrimack Valley area of Massachusetts and New Hampshire. Our Fall Festival, held at Holy Cross, features Armenian foods and pastries as well as full course meals. The Fall Festival is a highlight of the community. Also in the fall we have an Autumn Dance sponsored by the Hye Pointe Women's Guild. Our Men's Club is active with social gatherings, dinners, brunches and the Spring Dance.
Visiting Pastor Very Reverend Samoorian celebrates the Divine Liturgy on Sunday's with assistance from dedicated deacons and a vibrant choir. Our Sunday School has grades for ages pre-school through teen-agers and also has an Armenian language class.
